Want to be a CLHYF Football Coach?

The Canyon Lake Hawks Youth Football Association is seeking head coaches and assistant coaches for our youth football program for the upcoming 2020 season.

The purpose of CLHYF program is to promote teamwork, self esteem, and confidence, while teaching the fundamentals of football.  While prior football coaching experience is helpful, it is not a requirement.  We will provide the tools necessary to be a successful coach no matter what your experience level is.  You do not have to have a child in the program to volunteer.  Prior coaches include retirees, grandparents, and other individuals who enjoy the game of football and giving back to their community.  If you are a college student seeking to become a coach in the future, coaching youth football is a great way to gain valuable experience while at the same time creating a positive influence on the children you are leading.  The only requirements are that coaches must be at least 18 years of age and pass our KidSafe background check.  We will also interview prospective coaches and they will become a participant in the USA Football Heads Up program.
CLHYF is committed to ensuring a positive youth football experience and advancing player safety this fall by providing league-wide coaching education through USA Football’s Heads Up Football program.  Every CLHYF coach will be trained in Heads Up Football techniques before leading teams.  All CLHYF coaches and assistant coaches will complete USA Football accredited Level I Coach Certification Courses, which include CDC concussion recognition and response to protocols, proper helmet and shoulder pad fitting and Heads Up tackling techniques.
If you are interested in this exciting opportunity to serve the youth of our community please email our VP of Athletics Bobby Flint at vpathleticsclhyf@gmail.com if you would like more information.
Want to be a CLHYF Cheerleading Coach?
The Canyon Lake Hawks Youth Football Association is seeking head and assistant coaches of our cheer program for the upcoming 2019 season. Seeking individuals who would like to participate in one of the most rewarding opportunities and those who want to give back to their community.  This is an opportunity to be apart of an organization that instills commitment, spirit, sportsmanship and scholarship in every child.  It builds character, teaches obedience, teamwork, helps build friendships that will last a lifetime. It teaches leadership, sisterhood and confidence.
CLHYF is committed to ensuring a positive coaching experience.  Every coach will be provided with the necessary training to have a confident and successful season.  Cheer experience is helpful although it is not required.  All interested coaches will need to be at least 18 years old, will have to pass a background check, have at least two hours of availability 3 times a week and be energized and ready to work.
If you are interested in this exciting opportunity to serve the youth of our community, please email Janet Driggs vpcheerclhyf@gmail.com, if you would like some more information
